FAQs
What is Look Nooks Miniatures?
Look Nooks are handcrafted miniature dioramas or book nooks inspired by movies, TV shows, books, and imagination. Each piece is designed with cinematic detail — transforming beloved stories and original ideas into tiny, tangible worlds.
Do you take custom orders or commissions?
Yes! Custom commissions are one of my favorite parts of the process. Whether it’s a scene from your favorite film, a real place that is sentimental to you, or a place from your imagination, I’ll work with you to design and build a miniature made just for you. Contact me here to start your custom request.
How long does it take to make a miniature diorama?
Each Look Nook is built entirely from scratch and can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months, depending on size, complexity, and current working projects. I’ll provide an estimated timeline once you let me know the details of your project.
What materials do you use?
Each Nook is unique to the project! But most dioramas are crafted from laser-cut wood and acrylic, 3D resin and/or FDM printing, hand painting, airbrushing, clay sculpting, Photoshopping, foam molding, epoxy resin, textiles, and curated props. All chosen to achieve a cinematic look and lasting quality.
Can I order a miniature based on my favorite movie or TV show?
Yes — that’s my specialty! I can design a diorama inspired by your favorite scene, location, or character moment.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, depending on the build. Some dioramas are just too delicate to ship a long distance and unfortunately, are almost guaranteed to arrive smashed into pieces. Feel free to contact me to see if your project can ship internationally.
What is your favorite movie, TV Show, and Book?
My favorite movie is The Dark Knight. TV show is Breaking Bad. And favorite book is Recursion by Blake Crouch.
